Ingredients
- Lime Jell-O: 1 (3 oz) box
- Grape Jell-O: 1 (3 oz) box
- Black Cherry Jell-O (or Berry Blue with black food coloring): 1 (3 oz) box
- Boiling Water: 3 cups (1 cup per color)
- Cold Water: 1 1/2 cups (1/2 cup per color)
- Vodka (chilled): 1 1/2 cups (1/2 cup per color)
- Plastic Shot Cups (2 oz): 24-30
Instructions
1. 1. Arrange your plastic shot cups on a baking sheet; this makes transport easier.
2. 2. Prepare your first Jell-O color (let’s start with green). In a medium bowl, dissolve one package of green Jell-O in 1 cup of boiling water. Stir until completely dissolved, about 2 minutes.
3. 3. Then, stir in 1/2 cup of cold water and 1/2 cup of chilled vodka.
4. 4. Carefully pour a small amount of the green mixture into each shot cup, filling about one-third of the way.
5. 5. Place the baking sheet in the refrigerator and chill for 15-20 minutes, or until just firm but not completely solid.
6. 6. Repeat this process for the second color (grape), pouring it carefully over the green layer and chilling again for another 15-20 minutes.
7. 7. Finally, prepare your third color (black cherry or blue with food coloring) and pour it over the grape layer.
