Description

A quick and flavorful garlic butter tiger prawn recipe that feels restaurant-worthy but comes together in just 15 minutes with simple ingredients. Perfect served over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread to soak up the delicious sauce.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb (450g) Raw Tiger Prawns, peeled & deveined
4 tbsp Unsalted Butter
45 cloves Garlic, finely minced
1 Lemon, for juice and zest
1/4 cup Fresh Parsley, chopped
To taste Salt & Black Pepper
1/4 tsp Red Pepper Flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. Pat prawns dry with paper towels. Heat large skillet over medium-high heat. Add half the butter, then prawns in single layer. Season with salt and pepper. Cook 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove to plate
  2. Reduce heat to medium. Add remaining butter and minced garlic to pan. Cook garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in lemon juice and zest
  3. Return cooked prawns to pan. Toss to coat in garlic butter sauce. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve immediately

Notes

Do not overcrowd the pan – cook in batches if needed to avoid steaming.

Do not overcook prawns – they become rubbery if cooked too long.

For dairy-free version, substitute butter with olive oil.

Store leftovers in airtight container in refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat gently in skillet.
