Description
A quick and flavorful garlic butter tiger prawn recipe that feels restaurant-worthy but comes together in just 15 minutes with simple ingredients. Perfect served over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread to soak up the delicious sauce.
Ingredients
1 lb (450g) Raw Tiger Prawns, peeled & deveined
4 tbsp Unsalted Butter
4–5 cloves Garlic, finely minced
1 Lemon, for juice and zest
1/4 cup Fresh Parsley, chopped
To taste Salt & Black Pepper
1/4 tsp Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Pat prawns dry with paper towels. Heat large skillet over medium-high heat. Add half the butter, then prawns in single layer. Season with salt and pepper. Cook 1-2 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove to plate
- Reduce heat to medium. Add remaining butter and minced garlic to pan. Cook garlic for 30 seconds until fragrant. Stir in lemon juice and zest
- Return cooked prawns to pan. Toss to coat in garlic butter sauce. Sprinkle with fresh parsley and serve immediately
Notes
Do not overcrowd the pan – cook in batches if needed to avoid steaming.
Do not overcook prawns – they become rubbery if cooked too long.
For dairy-free version, substitute butter with olive oil.
Store leftovers in airtight container in refrigerator for up to 2 days. Reheat gently in skillet.
