Description

A classic Paula Deen Peach Cobbler recipe that's incredibly simple and comforting. Features a sweet, juicy peach filling with a golden, cake-like topping that bakes up magically around the fruit. Perfect for using fresh, frozen, or canned peaches.

Ingredients

Scale

1 cup Butter
45 cups sliced peaches
2 cups granulated sugar
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup milk
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp ground cinnamo
1 pinch salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Melt butter in a 9×13 inch baking dish by placing it in the preheating ove
  2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt. Gradually stir in milk until smooth
  3. In another bowl, gently toss peach slices with 1 cup sugar (and cinnamon if using)
  4. Carefully remove hot dish with melted butter from oven. Pour batter evenly over melted butter (do not stir)
  5. Spoon sweetened peaches and their juices evenly over the batter
  6. Bake for 45-55 minutes until top is golden brown and edges are bubbling

Notes

Do not stir the butter and batter together – this is key for texture.

Let cobbler cool for 15-20 minutes before serving to allow filling to thicken.

Can use frozen peaches directly without thawing; may need extra baking time.
