Description
Low Calorie Greek Yogurt Brownies are fudgy, rich, and chocolatey, made with Greek yogurt to cut fat and calories while keeping them moist and delicious. Perfect for a healthy dessert or snack.
Ingredients
1/2 cup Plain nonfat Greek yogurt
1/2 cup Granulated sweetener (or sugar)
1/3 cup Unsweetened cocoa powder
1 Large egg
1 teaspoon Vanilla extract
1/4 cup All-purpose flour
1/4 teaspoon Baking powder
1 pinch Salt
2 tablespoons Dark chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Line an 8×8 inch pan with parchment paper
- In a large bowl, whisk the Greek yogurt, sweetener, egg, and vanilla until smooth
- Sift in the cocoa powder, flour, baking powder, and salt. Stir gently until combined. Do not overmix
- Pour the batter into the pan and spread evenly. Fold in chocolate chips if using
- Bake for 18-22 minutes. A toothpick should come out with a few moist crumbs
- Let cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then lift out and slice
Notes
Always use room temperature ingredients for smooth blending.
Do not overbake; brownies continue to set as they cool.
Line pan with parchment for easy removal.
Brownies taste even better the next day.
