Description
High Protein Chocolate Peanut Butter Yogurt Cups are a quick, healthy frozen treat made with Greek yogurt, peanut butter, and dark chocolate. Perfect for snacking, they satisfy chocolate-peanut butter cravings while providing a protein boost.
Ingredients
1 cup Plain Greek yogurt (full-fat or 2%)
0.25 cup Creamy peanut butter (natural, no sugar added)
2 tablespoons Honey or maple syrup
0.5 teaspoon Vanilla extract
0.5 cup Dark chocolate chips (at least 70% cocoa)
2 tablespoons Peanut butter (for drizzle)
1 pinch Sea salt (flaky, optional)
Instructions
- Melt the chocolate: Place dark chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl. Melt in 30-second bursts, stirring each time, until smooth. Set aside
- Make the filling: In a separate bowl, mix Greek yogurt, 1/4 cup peanut butter, honey, and vanilla until completely combined
- Line a pan: Place 6 silicone muffin liners on a small baking sheet (or use a muffin tin with paper liners)
- Create the base: Spoon about 1 teaspoon of melted chocolate into the bottom of each liner, spreading it evenly up the sides slightly
- Add the filling: Divide the yogurt-peanut butter mixture evenly among the 6 liners, spooning it over the chocolate layer
- Top with chocolate: Spoon remaining melted chocolate over the yogurt filling. Gently tap the pan on the counter to smooth the tops
- Add the drizzle: Warm 2 tablespoons of peanut butter for 15 seconds and drizzle over each cup. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt if desired
- Freeze: Place pan in freezer for at least 2 hours, or until solid
Notes
Use room temperature yogurt for a smoother mix.
Do not over-stir the melted chocolate or it can seize.
For the cleanest look, use silicone muffin liners—the cups pop right out.
Best eaten straight from the freezer.
Store in an airtight container in the freezer for up to 3 months. Place parchment paper between layers to prevent sticking.
