Description

A quick and easy ground beef taco recipe perfect for busy weeknights, ready in 20 minutes with bold flavors from cumin and garlic.

Ingredients

Scale

1 lb Ground beef
1/2 cup Onion, chopped
2 cloves Garlic, minced
1 tbsp Chili powder
1 tsp Cumi
1/2 tsp Paprika
1/2 tsp Salt
8 oz Tomato sauce
1/4 cup Water

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef; cook, breaking apart, until browned. Drain excess fat
  2. Add chopped onion and minced garlic; cook for 2 minutes until fragrant
  3. Stir in chili powder, cumin, paprika, and salt; cook for 30 seconds
  4. Pour in tomato sauce and water; bring to a simmer. Cook for 5 minutes, stirring occasionally, until thickened
  5. Turn off heat. Spoon mixture into warm taco shells. Serve with desired toppings

Notes

Use 85% lean ground beef for best flavor.

Don't skip draining the fat to avoid greasy meat.

Let meat brown properly for deeper flavor.

Taste before serving and adjust salt or heat as needed.

Store leftovers in fridge for up to 3 days or freeze for 3 months.
