1 medium head Green Cabbage
2 tbsp Olive Oil
1 medium Onio
3 cloves Garlic
1 tbsp Apple Cider Vinegar
1 tsp Dijon Mustard
1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Black Pepper
1/4 tsp Red Pepper Flakes
2 tbsp Fresh Parsley


Instructions

  1. Prepare Ingredients: Slice your sausage into half-moon pieces. Chop the cabbage into bite-sized pieces. Dice the onion and mince the garlic
  2. Cook Sausage: Heat olive oil in a large skillet or wok over medium-high heat. Add the sliced sausage and cook for 5-7 minutes, until browned and slightly crispy. Remove the sausage from the skillet and set aside, leaving any rendered fat
  3. Sauté Aromatics: Add the chopped onion to the skillet. Cook for 3-5 minutes until softened. Next, stir in the minced garlic and red pepper flakes (if using), cooking for another minute until fragrant
  4. Add Cabbage: Incorporate the chopped cabbage into the skillet. Toss well to combine with the onions and garlic. Cook, stirring occasionally, for 8-12 minutes, or until the cabbage softens and starts to caramelize
  5. Combine & Season: Return the cooked sausage to the skillet with the cabbage. Stir in the apple cider vinegar and Dijon mustard. Season with salt and black pepper. Toss everything together for 2-3 minutes, ensuring all ingredients are well combined and heated through
