Ingredients
1 lb Elbow macaroni or preferred pasta
1 lb Lean shaved steak (or sirloin, thinly sliced)
1 tbsp Olive oil
1 large Onion, thinly sliced
1 large Green bell pepper, thinly sliced
2 cloves Garlic, minced
2 cups Beef broth
1 cup Milk (any kind)
4 oz Cream cheese, softened
1.5 cups Cheddar cheese, shredded
0.5 cup Provolone cheese, shredded
To taste Salt and black pepper
0.5 tsp Red pepper flakes (optional)
2 tbsp Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
1. 1. Cook your pasta according to package directions. Drain it and set it aside.
2. 2. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the shaved steak, season with salt and pepper, and cook until browned. Remove the steak and set it aside.
3. 3. In the same skillet, add thinly sliced onions and bell peppers; sauté until softened, about 5-7 minutes. Stir in the minced garlic for one minute until fragrant.
4. 4. Pour in the beef broth and milk, bringing it to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low.
5. 5. Whisk in the softened cream cheese until smooth. Gradually add the shredded cheddar and provolone cheeses, stirring until melted and creamy.
6. 6. Return the cooked steak and pasta to the skillet, tossing everything to combine. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
7. 7. Serve immediately, garnished with fresh parsley.
