Description

A juicy, tender, and stress-free slow-cooked turkey breast recipe that saves family dinners on busy weeknights and holidays alike.

Ingredients

Scale

57 lbs Bone-in turkey breast
2 tbsp Olive oil
1 tsp Garlic powder
1 tsp Onion powder
1 tsp Dried thyme
1 tsp Dried rosemary
1 tsp Salt
0.5 tsp Black pepper
0.5 cup Chicken broth
2 tbsp Butter

Instructions

  1. Pat turkey dry with paper towels. Coat with olive oil
  2. Mix seasonings in a small bowl. Rub all over turkey
  3. Pour broth into slow cooker. Place turkey breast side up
  4. Add butter pats on top if using
  5. Cover and cook on LOW for 5-6 hours or HIGH for 3-4 hours
  6. Check internal temperature hits 165°F at thickest part
  7. Let rest 15 minutes before slicing. Reserve juices for gravy

Notes

Always thaw turkey completely first. Frozen meat cooks unevenly.

Do not lift the lid during cooking. You lose heat.

Use a meat thermometer. Trust the temp, not the timer.

For crispy skin, broil for 5 minutes after cooking.

Can use boneless turkey breast; adjust cooking time down by 1 hour.

Store leftovers in airtight container; refrigerate up to 4 days or freeze up to 3 months.
