Description

Crispy Parmesan Asparagus Fries are a fun and crunchy baked side dish that rivals traditional fries, made with fresh asparagus coated in panko and Parmesan.

1 lb Fresh Asparagus (trimmed)
1 cup Panko Breadcrumbs
1/2 cup Grated Parmesa
1/2 tsp Garlic Powder
Salt to taste
Black Pepper to taste
2 tbsp Olive Oil or Avocado Oil


Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
  2. Trim the woody ends off the asparagus. Pat the spears completely dry with a towel
  3. Combine panko, Parmesan, garlic powder, salt, and pepper in a shallow bowl
  4. Drizzle the oil over the asparagus. Toss gently to coat each spear
  5. Working in batches, roll each oiled spear in the panko mixture. Press firmly so the coating sticks
  6. Place the coated asparagus fries on the prepared baking sheet. Do not overcrowd them
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes. Flip them halfway through for even browning
  8. Watch for a golden, crispy exterior. Serve immediately while hot

Pat the asparagus completely dry before coating to ensure maximum crispiness.
