Description

This easy apple cobbler recipe features a sweet, spiced apple filling under a soft, buttery topping. Made with simple ingredients, it's a comforting dessert perfect for busy weeknights or holiday gatherings.

Ingredients

Scale

6 medium apples (peeled, sliced)
1/2 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon cinnamo
1 tablespoon lemon juice
1 tablespoon butter (melted)
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 cup granulated sugar
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1/2 cup unsalted butter (melted)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish
  2. Peel and slice 6 medium apples. Toss with 1/2 cup sugar, cinnamon, and lemon juice. Spread evenly in the dish
  3. In a bowl, whisk together flour, 1 cup sugar, baking powder, and salt. Stir in milk and melted butter until just combined; do not overmix
  4. Pour batter over apples. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and bubbly. Cool 10 minutes before serving
  5. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream or whipped cream

Notes

Use a mix of tart and sweet apples for best flavor.

Do not overmix the batter; lumps are fine for a tender topping.

For a crispier topping, pour melted butter into the dish first, then add batter.

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 4 days. Reheat in a 350°F oven for 10 minutes.
