Description

This easy Air Fryer Salmon Recipe is a lifesaver for busy weeknights, delivering a nourishing and delicious meal in under 15 minutes. It features crispy skin, flaky, moist fish, and is packed with flavor and healthy fats. It's highly customizable and perfect for families looking for a quick and healthy dinner solution.

Ingredients

Scale

2 fillets Salmon (approx. 6 oz each, skin-on or off)
1 tbsp Olive oil
1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Black pepper
1/2 tsp Garlic powder
1/2 tsp Dried dill
Optional Lemon wedges (for serving)

Instructions

  1. Pat your salmon fillets dry with paper towels to help achieve a beautiful crust
  2. Drizzle olive oil over each fillet and rub it in. Sprinkle generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and dried dill (or fresh dill)
  3. Optional: If your air fryer has a preheat function, set it to 400°F (200°C) for 3-5 minutes to ensure even cooking
  4. Place the seasoned salmon, skin-side down (if present), in a single layer in the air fryer basket. Cook at 400°F (200°C) for 8-12 minutes. Cooking time depends on fillet thickness and desired doneness. For perfect easy air fryer salmon, check for an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C)
  5. Carefully remove the air-fried salmon from the basket. Let it rest for a couple of minutes before serving to seal in the juices. Serve with optional lemon wedges and your favorite sides

Notes

To achieve crispy salmon, do not overcrowd the air fryer basket; cook in batches if necessary.

Always pat the salmon dry before seasoning as moisture prevents a good sear.

Use a meat thermometer for accurate doneness, targeting an internal temperature of 145°F (63°C).

For easier cleanup, consider using a parchment liner in your air fryer basket.

Store leftover Air Fryer Salmon in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.

Reheat leftover salmon gently in the air fryer at 300°F (150°C) for 3-5 minutes, or until just warmed through, to avoid overcooking and keep it moist.

If you don't have olive oil, avocado oil can be used as a substitute. Dried dill can be swapped for parsley or chives.

For variations, try adding a lemon-garlic butter sauce or a dash of cayenne pepper for a spicy kick.

This versatile recipe pairs beautifully with roasted asparagus, a simple green salad, quinoa, or steamed broccoli.
