Description

A rich and indulgent bread pudding made with chunks of white chocolate, soft bread, and a luscious vanilla custard—perfect served warm with a drizzle of cream or sauce.

Ingredients

Scale

5 cups cubed day-old brioche or French bread

1 1/2 cups whole milk

1 cup heavy cream

1/2 cup granulated sugar

3 large eggs

1 tsp vanilla extract

1/4 tsp salt

1 cup white chocolate chips or chopped white chocolate

Butter for greasing the baking dish

Optional: powdered sugar or warm cream for serving

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch or similar baking dish with butter.

2. Place bread cubes in the baking dish.

3. In a large bowl, whisk together milk, cream, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and salt until well combined.

4. Stir in white chocolate chips.

5. Pour the custard mixture evenly over the bread, pressing lightly to soak all pieces.

6. Let sit for 10–15 minutes to absorb.

7. Bake for 35–40 minutes, or until the top is golden and the center is set but slightly soft.

8. Cool slightly before serving. Dust with powdered sugar or drizzle with cream if desired.

Notes

Use high-quality white chocolate for best flavor.

Letting the bread soak before baking ensures a custardy interior.

This dessert is best warm but can also be served chilled or reheated.
