Instructions

  • 1. To make the broth gel: Bring broth, soy sauce, and sesame oil to a simmer. Stir in agar agar and simmer for 2โ€“3 minutes until dissolved.
  • 2. Pour into a shallow container and refrigerate until firm. Once set, finely dice into small cubes.
  • 3. To make the dough: Mix flour and hot water until a soft dough forms. Knead for 5โ€“7 minutes, then cover and rest for 30 minutes.
  • 4. To make the filling: Sautรฉ mushrooms, cabbage, and carrot until softened. Add garlic, ginger, soy sauce, sesame oil, and green onions. Let cool, then mix with diced broth gel.
  • 5. Divide dough into small balls and roll into thin 3โ€“4 inch circles.
  • 6. Place a spoonful of filling in the center, then pleat and seal the dumplings.
  • 7. Place dumplings in a parchment-lined steamer and steam over boiling water for 8โ€“10 minutes.
