Instructions
- 1. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl.
- 2. In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- 3. Beat in egg and vanilla until well combined.
- 4. Gradually mix in dry ingredients until a smooth dough forms.
- 5. Divide dough evenly into three portions.
- 6. Leave one portion plain, tint one pink, and tint one red.
- 7. Roll each dough portion into a rectangle of equal size.
- 8. Stack the dough layers, gently press together, then roll into a tight log.
- 9. Wrap and chill dough for 30 minutes.
- 10. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and line baking sheets with parchment.
- 11. Slice log into rounds and place on baking sheets.
- 12. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until edges are set.
- 13. Cool completely before serving or decorating.
