- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 1/2 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup dark chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup mascarpone cheese
- 2 tbsp powdered sugar
- 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 slices bacon, cooked until crisp and crumbled
- Optional: sea salt flakes, caramel drizzle
Instructions
- 1. Preheat oven to 400ยฐF (200ยฐC). Roll out puff pastry and cut into 6 rectangles. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment.
- 2. Bake for 15โ18 minutes or until golden and puffed. Cool completely.
- 3. In a small saucepan, heat heavy cream until simmering. Pour over chocolate chips in a bowl. Let sit 1 minute, then stir until smooth.
- 4. In a separate bowl, mix mascarpone, powdered sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- 5. Slice each puff pastry piece in half horizontally to create a top and bottom layer.
- 6. Spread mascarpone filling on the bottom layer, drizzle with ganache, and sprinkle with bacon crumbles.
- 7. Top with the other half of pastry and repeat for each.
- 8. Drizzle with more ganache or caramel, and finish with a pinch of sea salt if desired.
