Description

Ingredients

  • 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
  • 4 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat oven to 400ยฐF (205ยฐC) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • 2. Roll out puff pastry slightly and cut into 6 equal rectangles.
  • 3. Score a small border around each pastry without cutting through.
  • 4. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
  • 5. In another bowl, toss strawberries with cornstarch and lemon juice.
  • 6. Spread cream cheese mixture inside the scored area of each pastry.
  • 7. Top with strawberry mixture.
  • 8. Brush edges with beaten egg.
  • 9. Bake for 15โ€“18 minutes until puffed and golden.
  • 10. Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
