- 1 sheet puff pastry, thawed
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 cup fresh strawberries, diced
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- Powdered sugar for dusting (optional)
Instructions
- 1. Preheat oven to 400ยฐF (205ยฐC) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2. Roll out puff pastry slightly and cut into 6 equal rectangles.
- 3. Score a small border around each pastry without cutting through.
- 4. In a bowl, mix cream cheese, sugar, and vanilla until smooth.
- 5. In another bowl, toss strawberries with cornstarch and lemon juice.
- 6. Spread cream cheese mixture inside the scored area of each pastry.
- 7. Top with strawberry mixture.
- 8. Brush edges with beaten egg.
- 9. Bake for 15โ18 minutes until puffed and golden.
- 10. Cool slightly and dust with powdered sugar if desired.
