Description
Strawberry banana pudding is a fruity twist on a Southern classic, layering creamy vanilla pudding with fresh strawberries, bananas, and vanilla wafers for a refreshing no-bake dessert.
Ingredients
1 (3.4 oz) box instant vanilla pudding mix
2 cups cold milk
1 cup heavy whipping cream
2 tablespoons powdered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 ripe bananas, sliced
2 cups sliced fresh strawberries
1 box vanilla wafers (about 11 oz)
Optional: whipped cream and crushed wafers for topping
Instructions
1. In a large bowl, whisk together pudding mix and cold milk until thickened, about 2 minutes. Set aside.
2. In a separate bowl, beat heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
3. Fold whipped cream into the pudding mixture until well combined.
4. In a 9×13-inch dish or trifle bowl, layer vanilla wafers on the bottom.
5. Add a layer of banana slices, followed by a layer of strawberries.
6. Spread half the pudding mixture over the fruit.
7. Repeat layers with remaining wafers, fruit, and pudding.
8. Top with additional whipped cream and crushed wafers if desired.
9. Chill for at least 2 hours before serving to allow flavors to meld.
Notes
Best served within 24 hours for freshest fruit texture.
For extra flavor, try adding a layer of strawberry jam or banana-flavored pudding.
