- 1 (5 oz) can sardines in olive oil, drained and flaked
- 1 (6 oz) can boneless skinless salmon, drained
- 1/3 cup breadcrumbs or crushed crackers
- 1 egg
- 2 tablespoons mayonnaise or Greek yogurt
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 2 tablespoons chopped green onion
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Olive oil, for pan-frying
Instructions
- 1. In a large bowl, combine sardines, salmon, breadcrumbs, egg, mayonnaise, Dijon mustard, green onion, garlic powder, and black pepper.
- 2. Mix until well blended and form into 4โ6 small patties.
- 3. Heat a skillet over medium heat with a little olive oil.
- 4. Cook patties for 3โ4 minutes per side, until golden brown and cooked through.
- 5. Serve warm with a side salad, over rice, or in a sandwich.

- These patties can be made ahead and reheated for quick meals.
- Add lemon zest, hot sauce, or chopped herbs for extra flavor.
- To make gluten-free, use GF breadcrumbs or oats.
