Instructions
- 1. In a small bowl, mix soy sauce, mirin or honey, sesame oil, garlic, and ginger.
- 2. Pat salmon belly dry and season lightly with salt and pepper.
- 3. Heat a skillet over medium-high heat and place salmon belly skin-side down. Sear for 3โ4 minutes until skin is crispy.
- 4. Flip and cook for another 2โ3 minutes until just cooked through.
- 5. Pour sauce into pan and let it bubble for 1 minute, coating the salmon belly.
- 6. Remove from heat and garnish with sesame seeds and chopped green onions if desired.
- 7. Serve with rice and sautรฉed greens or as part of a Japanese-inspired meal.
