Description

A creamy and comforting chicken casserole topped with buttery Ritz cracker crumbs—an easy weeknight favorite the whole family will love.

Ingredients

Scale

3 cups cooked shredded chicken

1 can (10.5 oz) cream of chicken soup

1 cup sour cream

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/2 tsp onion powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

1 sleeve Ritz crackers (about 30), crushed

4 tbsp melted butter

Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.

2. In a large bowl, mix together shredded chicken, cream of chicken soup, sour cream, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and cheddar cheese.

3. Spread the mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.

4. In a separate bowl, mix crushed Ritz crackers with melted butter.

5. Sprinkle cracker topping evenly over the casserole.

6. Bake for 25–30 minutes, or until hot and bubbly and the topping is golden brown.

7. Let cool slightly before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.

Notes

Great way to use leftover rotisserie chicken.

Add steamed broccoli, peas, or cooked rice to make it heartier.

Can be assembled ahead and refrigerated before baking. Add 5–10 minutes to bake time if chilled.
