A decadent, multi-layered gelato cake made with alternating flavors of gelato, cookie crust, and whipped toppings—delivering a cold, creamy dessert experience with rich textures and indulgent flavors.
Ingredients
1 pint chocolate gelato, softened
1 pint vanilla or pistachio gelato, softened
1 pint strawberry or raspberry gelato, softened
1 1/2 cups crushed chocolate cookies or graham crackers
1/4 cup melted butter
1 cup whipped cream or whipped topping
Chocolate shavings or fruit for garnish
Optional: 2 tbsp chocolate or caramel sauce for drizzling
Instructions
1. Line an 8-inch springform pan with plastic wrap or parchment paper.
2. Mix crushed cookies with melted butter and press into the bottom of the pan to form a crust. Freeze for 15 minutes.
3. Spread the first layer of gelato (e.g., chocolate) evenly over the crust. Freeze for 20–30 minutes until firm.
4. Repeat with the second and third gelato flavors, freezing each layer before adding the next.
5. Once final layer is firm, top with whipped cream and garnish with chocolate shavings, fruit, or a drizzle of sauce.
6. Freeze the entire cake for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best texture.
7. Let sit at room temperature for 5–10 minutes before slicing and serving.
