Description

This pulp smoothie is a fiber-rich, zero-waste drink made from leftover juice pulp—blended with fruit, liquid, and a touch of sweetness for a refreshing and nutritious treat.

Ingredients

Scale

1/2 cup leftover fruit or vegetable pulp (e.g. carrot, apple, beet, or citrus)

1 banana, fresh or frozen

1/2 cup frozen berries or mango

1 cup milk or plant-based milk

1 tablespoon chia seeds or flaxseed (optional)

12 teaspoons honey or maple syrup (optional)

Ice (optional, for a colder smoothie)

Instructions

1. Add the pulp, banana, frozen fruit, and milk to a blender.

2. Add chia seeds or flaxseed and sweetener, if using.

3. Blend until smooth and creamy, about 30–60 seconds.

4. Add ice and blend again if a thicker, colder smoothie is desired.

5. Taste and adjust sweetness as needed.

6. Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately.

Notes

Great way to use up leftover juice pulp—carrot, beet, citrus, or apple work especially well.

Add protein powder or yogurt for a more filling smoothie.

Use within 24 hours for the freshest flavor and texture.
