This pulp smoothie is a fiber-rich, zero-waste drink made from leftover juice pulp blended with fruit, liquid, and a touch of sweetness for a refreshing and nutritious treat.
Ingredients

- 1/2 cup leftover fruit or vegetable pulp (e.g. carrot, apple, beet, or citrus)
- 1 banana, fresh or frozen
- 1/2 cup frozen berries or mango
- 1 cup milk or plant-based milk
- 1 tablespoon chia seeds or flaxseed (optional)
- 1–2 teaspoons honey or maple syrup (optional)
- Ice (optional, for a colder smoothie)
Instructions
- 1. Add the pulp, banana, frozen fruit, and milk to a blender.
- 2. Add chia seeds or flaxseed and sweetener, if using.
- 3. Blend until smooth and creamy, about 30–60 seconds.
- 4. Add ice and blend again if a thicker, colder smoothie is desired.
- 5. Taste and adjust sweetness as needed.
- 6. Pour into a glass and enjoy immediately.
Notes
- Great way to use up leftover juice pulp carrot, beet, citrus, or apple work especially well.
- Add protein powder or yogurt for a more filling smoothie.
- Use within 24 hours for the freshest flavor and texture.
