Fudgy, rich protein brownies that are naturally sweetened and packed with chocolate flavor—perfect for a post-workout snack or healthy dessert alternative.
Ingredients
1/2 cup almond flour or oat flour
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 tsp baking powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 cup chocolate protein powder
2 large eggs
1/3 cup maple syrup or honey
1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce
1/4 cup plain Greek yogurt
1/4 cup almond milk (or any milk)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup dark chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line an 8×8-inch baking pan with parchment paper.
2. In a bowl, whisk together almond flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, salt, and protein powder.
3. In a separate bowl, mix eggs, maple syrup, applesauce, Greek yogurt, milk, and vanilla until smooth.
4. Add wet ingredients to dry and stir until well combined.
5. Fold in chocolate chips if using.
6. Pour batter into prepared pan and spread evenly.
7. Bake for 18–22 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out mostly clean.
8. Cool completely in pan before slicing into squares.
Notes
Use whey or plant-based protein depending on your preference.
Adjust sweetness by using more or less maple syrup.
Store brownies in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days or freeze for longer storage.
