Description
Pepperoni Pizza Casserole is a cheesy, crowd-pleasing comfort food dish loaded with pasta, marinara sauce, melted mozzarella, and layers of zesty pepperoni.
Ingredients
12 oz pasta (penne, rotini, or ziti)
2 cups marinara or pizza sauce
1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup sliced pepperoni, divided
Optional: chopped bell peppers, olives, or mushrooms for extra toppings
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. Cook pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and return to pot.
3. Stir in marinara sauce, half of the mozzarella, half the Parmesan, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, and half of the pepperoni.
4. Mix until combined, then pour into prepared baking dish.
5. Top with remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheeses.
6. Arrange remaining pepperoni slices on top, and add any optional toppings.
7. Bake uncovered for 20–25 minutes or until cheese is melted and bubbly.
8. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving.
Notes
This casserole can be prepped a day ahead and baked when ready.
For a lower-carb version, try using cooked spaghetti squash or cauliflower instead of pasta.
Serve with a side salad or garlic bread for a complete meal.
