A copycat recipe of LongHorn Steakhouse’s Parmesan Crusted Chicken—juicy grilled chicken breasts topped with a creamy ranch spread, crispy Parmesan crust, and melted cheese for a flavorful and indulgent entrée.
Ingredients
4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste
For ranch spread:
1/4 cup ranch dressing
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
For Parmesan crust:
1/2 cup panko breadcrumbs
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tbsp melted butter
1/2 tsp Italian seasoning
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Pound chicken breasts to even thickness and season both sides with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper.
2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear chicken for 3–4 minutes per side until golden. Transfer to a baking dish.
3. In a small bowl, mix ranch dressing and Parmesan cheese. Spread evenly over each chicken breast.
4. In another bowl, combine panko, mozzarella, Parmesan, butter, and Italian seasoning.
5. Top chicken with the Parmesan crust mixture, pressing it gently to stick.
6. Bake for 10–12 minutes, or until chicken reaches 165°F and the topping is golden and bubbly.
7. Optional: broil for 1–2 minutes for extra crispiness.
8. Let rest a few minutes before serving.
Notes
Serve with mashed potatoes, steamed veggies, or a crisp salad.
You can grill the chicken fully before topping and broiling if preferred.
Use fresh Parmesan and panko for the best texture and flavor.
