- 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 1/2 cups rolled oats
- 1 1/2 cups chocolate chips
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and line a 9×13-inch baking pan with parchment paper
- 2. In a large bowl, whisk together melted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar until smooth
- 3. Add eggs and vanilla extract and mix until fully combined
- 4. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt
- 5. Gradually stir the dry ingredients into the wet mixture
- 6. Fold in the rolled oats and chocolate chips
- 7. Spread the batter evenly into the prepared pan
- 8. Bake for 22โ28 minutes until set and lightly golden on top
- 9. Allow to cool completely before slicing into bars
Notes
- Do not overbake to keep the bars soft and chewy
- You can add nuts or use dark chocolate chips if desired
- Bars store well in an airtight container for several days
