Description
An amazingly moist cinnamon apple fritter bread loaded with tender apples, swirls of cinnamon sugar, and finished with a sweet glaze for bakery-style flavor at home.

- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 2/3 cup granulated sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 2 cups apples, peeled and diced
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 cup powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons milk (for glaze)
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and grease a 9×5-inch loaf pan
- 2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt
- 3. In a separate bowl, cream the butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy
- 4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then mix in milk and vanilla extract
- 5. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients until just combined
- 6. In a small bowl, mix brown sugar and cinnamon together
- 7. Fold half of the apples into the batter
- 8. Pour half of the batter into the loaf pan, sprinkle with half of the cinnamon sugar, and add remaining apples
- 9. Spread remaining batter on top and finish with remaining cinnamon sugar
- 10. Swirl gently with a knife
- 11. Bake for 50โ60 minutes until a toothpick inserted comes out clean
- 12. Cool slightly, then drizzle with glaze made from powdered sugar and milk before slicing
Notes
- Use firm apples like Granny Smith or Honeycrisp
- Cover loosely with foil if the top browns too quickly
- Bread tastes even better the next day
