Instructions
- 1. Whisk flour, baking powder, and salt together in a bowl.
- 2. In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
- 3. Beat in egg and vanilla until combined.
- 4. Gradually mix in dry ingredients until a soft dough forms.
- 5. Divide dough into 2 or 3 portions and tint each with different shades of pink and red.
- 6. Gently twist dough portions together without overmixing to create a marbled effect.
- 7. Shape dough into a log, wrap, and chill for 30 minutes.
- 8. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and line baking sheets with parchment.
- 9. Slice dough into rounds and place on baking sheets.
- 10. Bake for 9 to 11 minutes until edges are just set.
- 11. Cool completely before decorating or serving.
Notes
