Description
An indulgent seafood twist on a classic grilled cheese—this Lobster and Crab Grilled Cheese features buttery toasted bread filled with a creamy blend of lobster, crab, and melty cheeses.
Ingredients
1/2 cup cooked lobster meat, chopped
1/2 cup cooked crab meat, picked over for shells
2 tbsp cream cheese, softened
1 tsp Dijon mustard
1 tbsp chopped fresh chives or green onions
Salt and pepper to taste
4 slices sourdough or artisan bread
1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1/2 cup shredded mozzarella or fontina cheese
2 tbsp butter, for grilling
Instructions
1. In a small bowl, mix lobster, crab, cream cheese, Dijon mustard, chives, salt, and pepper until well combined.
2. Butter one side of each bread slice.
3. On the unbuttered side of two slices, layer half the cheddar and mozzarella cheeses.
4. Top with half the seafood mixture, then the remaining cheese, and close with the second bread slice, buttered side out.
5. Heat a skillet over medium heat. Grill sandwiches 3–4 minutes per side until golden brown and cheese is melted.
6. Let rest 1 minute, slice, and serve hot.
Notes
Use high-quality lump crab and lobster for best flavor.
Pairs well with tomato bisque or a citrusy green salad.
Add a slice of tomato or sprinkle of Old Bay seasoning for extra flair.
