- 2 cups cooked goose meat, shredded or chopped
- 1 onion, finely chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, grated
- 2 tablespoons curry powder or paste (mild or hot)
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1 (14 oz) can chopped tomatoes
- 1 cup coconut milk
- 1 tablespoon tomato paste
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Optional: chopped cilantro and lime wedges for serving
Instructions
- 1. Place onion, garlic, and ginger in the bottom of the slow cooker.
- 2. Add the shredded goose, curry powder, cumin, cinnamon, chopped tomatoes, coconut milk, tomato paste, salt, and pepper.
- 3. Stir to combine all ingredients well.
- 4. Cover and cook on LOW for 6–8 hours or HIGH for 3–4 hours, until flavors are blended and the curry is rich.
- 5. Taste and adjust seasoning before serving.
- 6. Serve hot over rice or with naan bread, topped with chopped cilantro and lime if desired.
Notes
- This curry is adaptable add vegetables like peas, spinach, or potatoes during the last hour of cooking.
- Leftovers keep well refrigerated for 3–4 days and taste even better the next day.
- For a creamier curry, stir in a bit more coconut milk or a spoonful of yogurt before serving.
