1 (20 oz) can Canned Crushed Pineapple
1 cup Shredded Coconut
1/2 cup Chopped Pecans
Instructions
- Prepare the yellow cake mix according to package directions. Use a 9×13 inch baking pan. Allow the cake to cool completely
- In a medium bowl, beat the softened cream cheese with powdered sugar, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth
- Once the cake is cool, spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the top
- Gently spread the well-drained crushed pineapple over the cream cheese layer
- Carefully spread the thawed whipped topping over the pineapple
- If desired, sprinkle with shredded coconut and chopped pecans
- Refrigerate your Heaven on Earth Cake for at least 2 hours before serving
Notes
Always ensure your cream cheese is completely softened to prevent lumps in your filling.
Drain the pineapple very well; excess moisture makes your cake watery.
For an extra touch, toast the coconut and pecans before sprinkling them on your cake.
Store leftover Heaven on Earth Cake in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
This Heaven on Earth Cake does not freeze well due to the whipped topping.
Serve this amazing Heaven on Earth Cake chilled directly from the fridge.
