- 8 oz pasta (penne, fettuccine, or rotini)
- 1 lb boneless skinless chicken breasts, cut into strips
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream or half-and-half
- 3/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1 tbsp chopped parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
- 1. Cook pasta according to package instructions. Drain and set aside.
- 2. Season chicken with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
- 3. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Add chicken and cook until golden and fully cooked. Remove and set aside.
- 4. In the same skillet, melt butter and sauté minced garlic for 1–2 minutes until fragrant.
- 5. Pour in cream and bring to a gentle simmer. Stir in Parmesan cheese and red pepper flakes if using. Cook until slightly thickened.
- 6. Return chicken to the skillet, then add cooked pasta. Toss to coat everything evenly in the sauce.
- 7. Simmer 2–3 minutes more until heated through.
- 8. Garnish with parsley and serve hot.
Notes
- Use rotisserie chicken for a quicker version.
- Add sautéed spinach or sun-dried tomatoes for extra flavor.
- Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for up to 4 days.
