Fun, colorful Fruity Pebbles waffles that are crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside, and bursting with fruity cereal flavor—perfect for breakfast, brunch, or a playful treat.
Ingredients
1 cup all-purpose flour
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup buttermilk
1 large egg
2 tbsp melted butter or vegetable oil
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 cup Fruity Pebbles cereal (plus extra for topping)
Butter or cooking spray for waffle iron
Instructions
1. Preheat waffle iron according to manufacturer’s instructions.
2. In a medium bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
3. In another bowl, whisk together buttermilk, egg, melted butter, and vanilla extract.
4. Pour wet ingredients into dry ingredients and stir until just combined—do not overmix.
5. Fold in Fruity Pebbles cereal gently.
6. Grease waffle iron and pour in batter (amount depending on iron size). Cook until golden and crisp.
7. Serve warm with butter, syrup, whipped cream, and extra Fruity Pebbles on top.
Notes
Add a splash of milk if batter is too thick.
For extra crunch, sprinkle Fruity Pebbles directly onto the batter after pouring it into the waffle iron.
Store leftovers in the freezer and reheat in a toaster.
