Instructions

  • 1. Preheat oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and grease a 9-inch pie dish or cast-iron skillet.
  • 2. In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter and sautรฉ apple slices with brown sugar and cinnamon until soft and caramelized, about 5โ€“7 minutes.
  • 3. Arrange the apples evenly in the prepared dish.
  • 4. In a blender or bowl, combine eggs, granulated sugar, milk, flour, vanilla, and salt. Blend or whisk until smooth.
  • 5. Pour the batter over the apples.
  • 6. Drizzle 2 tablespoons of caramel sauce over the top.
  • 7. Bake for 35โ€“40 minutes, or until puffed and golden brown at the edges and the center is set.
  • 8. Let cool slightly. Dust with powdered sugar and drizzle with more caramel before serving.
