- 2 lbs boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 (10.5 oz) can cream of chicken soup
- 1/2 cup milk
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp butter
- Chopped parsley for garnish (optional)
- Optional: cooked pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes for serving
Instructions
- 1. Place chicken in the bottom of the crockpot.
- 2. In a bowl, mix cream of chicken soup, milk, Parmesan cheese, garlic, Italian seasoning, pepper, onion powder, and salt until well combined.
- 3. Pour sauce mixture over the chicken.
- 4. Top with butter pieces.
- 5. Cover and cook on low for 6โ7 hours or on high for 3โ4 hours, until chicken is cooked through and tender.
- 6. Shred chicken directly in the crockpot or serve whole.
- 7. Stir sauce to coat evenly, then garnish with chopped parsley.
- 8. Serve over cooked pasta, rice, or mashed potatoes.
Notes
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for best flavor and melting.
- For a thinner sauce, add extra milk or chicken broth at the end.
- This recipe can be doubled and stored in the fridge up to 4 days or frozen for 2 months.
