Description
A no-fuss crockpot recipe for cooking frozen chicken breasts straight from the freezer—tender, juicy, and perfect for shredding, slicing, or using in your favorite dishes.
Ingredients
2–3 frozen boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5–2 lbs)
1/2 cup chicken broth or water
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
Optional: 1 tsp Italian seasoning or taco seasoning for added flavor
Instructions
1. Place frozen chicken breasts in the bottom of the crockpot.
2. Pour chicken broth over the top.
3. Sprinkle with garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, and optional seasoning blend.
4. Cover and cook on LOW for 6–7 hours or on HIGH for 3–4 hours, until chicken reaches an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
5. Once cooked, remove chicken and let rest for 5 minutes.
6. Shred, slice, or cube as desired for salads, sandwiches, tacos, or casseroles.
Notes
Always ensure chicken reaches 165°F in the center—use a meat thermometer for accuracy.
Do not cook frozen chicken on low without liquid and never leave it on WARM to thaw.
Great for meal prep—store cooked chicken in the fridge for up to 4 days or freeze for up to 3 months.
