- 8 large eggs
- 1 cup milk
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/2 cup sour cream
- 1/4 cup melted butter
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Optional: cooked bacon or sausage, chopped
Instructions
- 1. Preheat oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
- 2. In a large bowl, whisk together eggs and milk until well combined.
- 3. Stir in sour cream, melted butter, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder.
- 4. Fold in hash browns, shredded cheese, and optional meat if using.
- 5. Pour mixture evenly into the prepared baking dish.
- 6. Spread evenly and smooth the top.
- 7. Bake uncovered for 40โ45 minutes until set and lightly golden on top.
- 8. Let rest for 5 minutes before slicing and serving.
Notes
- This casserole can be prepared the night before and baked in the morning.
