- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 4 oz cream cheese, softened
- 3/4 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 large egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
- 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
Instructions
- 1. Preheat the oven to 350ยฐF (175ยฐC) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- 2. In a large bowl, beat together butter and cream cheese until smooth and creamy.
- 3. Add the granulated sugar and brown sugar, and beat until fluffy.
- 4. Mix in the egg and vanilla extract until well combined.
- 5. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, and salt.
- 6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet mixture, mixing until just combined.
- 7. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- 8. Scoop tablespoon-sized balls of dough onto the prepared baking sheet, spacing 2 inches apart.
- 9. Bake for 10โ12 minutes, or until edges are set and tops are just starting to turn golden.
- 10. Cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Notes
- For best texture, chill dough for 30 minutes before baking.
- Cookies will be soft and slightly cakey from the cream cheese.
- Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
