  • 4 medium potatoes, thinly sliced
  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp butter, melted
  • Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  • 1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
  • 2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef with onion and garlic until browned. Drain excess fat.
  • 3. Season beef mixture with salt, pepper, and paprika.
  • 4. Layer half of the sliced potatoes in the bottom of the baking dish.
  • 5. Spread half of the cooked beef mixture over the potatoes.
  • 6. In a bowl, whisk together cream of mushroom soup and milk. Pour half over the beef and potatoes.
  • 7. Sprinkle with 1 cup of shredded cheddar cheese.
  • 8. Repeat layers with remaining potatoes, beef mixture, soup mixture, and cheese.
  • 9. Drizzle melted butter on top.
  • 10. Cover with foil and bake for 45 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 15 minutes, until potatoes are tender and top is golden brown.
  • 11. Garnish with parsley before serving.
