Description
A homemade take on classic Burger King dessertsโfeaturing creamy soft serve, warm chocolate sauce, and crunchy toppings for the ultimate fast food-inspired sweet treat.
Ingredients
For soft serve-style ice cream:
2 cups heavy cream
1 cup whole milk
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1 tbsp vanilla extract
Pinch of salt
For chocolate fudge sauce:
1/2 cup heavy cream
1/2 cup chocolate chips
1 tbsp butter
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
Optional toppings:
Crushed cookies or Oreos
Caramel sauce
Rainbow sprinkles
Whipped cream
Maraschino cherries
Instructions
1. In a bowl, whisk together heavy cream, milk, sugar, vanilla, and salt until sugar is dissolved.
2. Churn in an ice cream maker according to the manufacturerโs instructions until soft-serve texture is reached. Freeze 1 hour for firmer texture, if desired.
3. To make chocolate sauce, heat cream in a small saucepan until simmering. Remove from heat and stir in chocolate chips and butter until smooth. Add vanilla.
4. Scoop or swirl ice cream into cups. Drizzle with warm chocolate sauce and finish with desired toppings.
5. Serve immediately for a Burger King-style dessert experience.
Notes
Use a piping bag to mimic soft-serve swirls.
For a frozen version of Burger Kingโs Oreo Sundae, layer soft serve with crushed Oreos and fudge.
Leftover ice cream can be stored in the freezer for up to 1 week.
