Description

As a mom of three, I know the magic of a simple dish that feels incredibly special. There are those evenings when friends drop by unexpectedly, or a quiet family night needs a little extra warmth. Thatโ€™s when my go-to appetizer shines: the Best Ever Gooey Baked Brie

Ingredients

Scale

1 (8-10 ounce) Brie cheese wheel
2 tablespoons Honey
1/4 cup Pecan halves
1 teaspoon Fresh rosemary (chopped)
For serving Crackers or baguette slices

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC). Prepare a small baking dish or a parchment-lined baking sheet
  2. Place the Brie wheel in the center of your prepared dish
  3. Drizzle honey generously over the top of the Brie
  4. Sprinkle pecans and fresh rosemary evenly over the honey
  5. Bake for 15-20 minutes. The Brie should feel very soft to the touch and just begin to ooze. Watch your baked brie carefully
  6. Carefully transfer the warm baked brie to a serving platter
  7. Serve immediately with your favorite crackers or baguette slices. Enjoy this amazing gooey baked brie!

Notes

Start with Brie at room temperature for more even and quicker melting.

Do not overbake; you want the Brie soft and gooey, not completely liquid or burst. Keep an eye on it.

For better topping adherence and extra ooze, lightly score the top rind in a crosshatch pattern before baking (optional).

Serve promptly, as baked Brie is best enjoyed warm and gooey.

Store any leftover baked brie tightly covered in plastic wrap in the refrigerator for up to 2-3 days.

Reheat refrigerated baked brie in an oven-safe dish at 300ยฐF (150ยฐC) for about 10-15 minutes to restore its gooey texture. Avoid microwaving, which can make it rubbery.

The white rind on Brie cheese is completely edible and softens beautifully during baking.

You can assemble the baked brie with honey and toppings ahead of time, cover it, and refrigerate for a few hours before baking just prior to serving.

The Brie is done when it feels very soft and squishy to the touch and might show slight bubbling or oozing around the edges.

This recipe is naturally gluten-free. For a fully gluten-free serving, ensure that any accompanying crackers or baguette slices are also gluten-free.
