Description
A deeply savory, slow-cooked beef brisket infused with the rich umami of beef bouillon powder—tender, flavorful, and perfect for weekend dinners or holiday feasts.
Ingredients
3–4 lb beef brisket
1 tbsp beef bouillon powder
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp smoked paprika
1/2 tsp black pepper
1 tbsp olive oil
1 cup water or beef broth
1 onion, sliced
Optional: 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 300°F (150°C).
2. In a small bowl, mix beef bouillon powder, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and pepper.
3. Rub brisket all over with olive oil, then coat with the spice mixture.
4. Place sliced onions in the bottom of a large roasting pan or Dutch oven. Set brisket on top.
5. Pour water or broth around the brisket. Add Worcestershire sauce if using.
6. Cover tightly with foil or lid. Roast for 3.5–4 hours, until brisket is fork-tender.
7. Remove from oven and let rest 15 minutes before slicing against the grain.
8. Serve with pan juices or reduce liquid to make a rich gravy.
Notes
For even deeper flavor, marinate the brisket with the rub overnight.
Delicious served with mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or inside sandwiches.
Leftovers store well and can be used in tacos, hash, or soups.
