Description
Baked Crack Chicken Breasts are an easy, comforting, and absolutely delicious meal, perfect for busy weeknights. This simple chicken dish, featuring creamy, savory, and cheesy flavors, became an instant family favorite due to its addictive taste and versatility.
Ingredients
4 large Boneless, skinless chicken breasts
8 oz Cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup Mayonnaise
1 oz packet Ranch seasoning mix
1 cup Shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 cup Cooked bacon, crumbled
2 tbsp Green onions, sliced (for garnish)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375ยฐF (190ยฐC). Then, pat the chicken breasts dry with paper towels. Place them in a 9×13 inch baking dish
- In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, and ranch seasoning mix. Mix until smooth and creamy
- Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the top of each chicken breast, ensuring full coverage
- Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the cream cheese layer. Follow with the crumbled bacon, distributing it generously
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through and the topping is bubbly and golden brown. Ensure the internal temperature reaches 165ยฐF (74ยฐC)
- Remove the dish from the oven. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving. Enjoy!
Notes
Ensure chicken breasts are evenly sized for consistent cooking; pound thicker parts if necessary.
Use softened cream cheese to avoid lumps in your sauce for a smooth coating.
Don’t overbake! Check the internal temperature with a meat thermometer to ensure juicy chicken.
Let the chicken rest for 5 minutes after baking to help retain juices.
For extra crispy bacon, broil for the last few minutes, but watch carefully!
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3-4 days.
To reheat, place in an oven-safe dish, cover loosely with foil, and warm in a 300ยฐF (150ยฐC) oven until heated through. Microwaving is also an option, though cheese may not be as crispy.
For a lighter option, use light cream cheese and low-fat mayonnaise. Instead of cheddar, try Monterey Jack or Colby-Jack. Add a pinch of garlic powder or onion powder for extra flavor. For a spicy kick, add a dash of red pepper flakes.
